Solo are now able to offer HD services from our uplinks. The additional encoders and receivers are also able to be integrated into both our fixed rate multiplex services, as well as our Statistical mulitplex services. Fixed rate multiplexes can offer a mixture of both HD and SD services within the same multiplex.
To compliment the new HD encoding ability Solo are also able to offer 8PSK modulation & DVBS-2 in addition to more standard QPSK modulation to bring more efficiency to bandwidth hungry HD services. Of course both technologies are also available for our standard definition transmissions on request.
